I believe services learning is important for the common good because it gives people an opportunity to help other people and learn how blessed they are without profit. Common good to me is the good that one belief that one does for his own good because they know it is right. To ensure all dignity is met you must sacrifice the things you are used to and the people you are used to because through serves learning you are able to due the right thing for example help others who need help. The rules in place to make sure this is for common good are that no one is allowed to do this for a prophet or for any reason other than service learning. At my brother’s keeper and the school I volunteered at it is a no profit agency. If you are not having a good time helping others or you have an attitude you are asked to leave and not return. From my serves learning I learned not everyone is blessed like I am and not all people have all of the gifts that I have. I spent time getting to know several people from both my brother’s keeper and the school I volunteered at and I learned that not everyone knows the things I know not everyone has the things I have for example a loving supporting mother, a strong supportive family or simply just people to keep you company. I can take these life lessons and apply them with my interactions with my peers at Mount Saint Joseph by telling my peers the joys of working with others who are less fortunate that them and learning from them and teaching them new things. I can also tell my peers how my learning humbled me. I can also give my peers stories and lessons that I learned and hope they use these things in their life. I can also encourage them to do their own acts of common good for example helping others who need help.
